I'm heading off to Sweden to visit Lindsay in a couple of weeks. Her baby is due September 10, but I'll bet she doesn't wait that long to go into labor. I'm flying over on September 17 and will stay through October 26. I'm excited to see Ethan, Addy, Izzy, Lindsay, Mikey, and their new baby girl! It will be a long trip, and I'm worried about my energy level. I'll have to nap while I'm there! Ethan and Addy started school (3rd and 1st grades, after a long battle with the international school in Sweden to place them in the right classes). Izzy, 2, even started a part-time Swedish preschool/daycare, which will help both Mommy Lindsay and Izzy. Blair started 4th grade and Lance started kindergarten. Bailey starts 4th grade next week, while Karsyn starts kindergarten and Cooper starts preschool. I can't believe our grandkids are getting so old! With 10--Bailey, Blair, Ethan, Addy, Karsyn, Lance, Jack (4), Cooper, Izzy, and Gwenie (5 months)--and 2 more on the way (Lindsay's and Meghan's babies), Mike and I are feeling OLD. Mike's new knee is healing slowly. He's out shooting his guns today, but is still in pain. He mowed the lawn yesterday, probably not the best idea. But he's tired of being an invalid. He's been back to work for three weeks (last week was his first full-timeweek), and he's driving again. My advice for the end of summer: Stay happy, keep busy, and have some fun!

August 2009

Jeanne's family went to Silver Mountain Resort and had lots of fun!

Blair (9, on his knees) and even Lance (5--on his tummy) rode the Flow Rider, along with their daddy, Jon. They were fearless. It's MUCH harder than it looks, so I'm proud of them. They must be part fish!
Even baby Gwenie loved the water.
